THE BEEF BOXES
A curated cross-section of the animal, cut, aged, vacuum-sealed, and ready for your freezer. Nothing to decide.
Every box holds a selection of premium steaks, everyday steaks, roasts, specialty cuts, and ground beef.
THE BEEF SHARES
A real share of a real animal, cut to your instructions. This is how families used to buy beef, and it is still the best way to do it.
Our Full and Half Beef shares offer the lowest per-pound prices of any beef we sell, regardless of cut or quantity.
A Half Beef is the sweet spot for most households. Using the common planning benchmark of about 56 lb of beef per person per year, a Half Beef is roughly a full year of beef for a family of four.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why is your ground beef more than the store's?
Because it's the same animal as our ribeyes. Our ground comes from one traceable, grass-raised, premium-grain finished animal from our ranch. Commodity ground beef is blended, sometimes from many animals and many countries. You are buying two different products that happen to share a name.
Should I buy a box or a share?
Buy a box if you want it simple, want to try us first, or don't have much freezer room. Buy a share if you want your own cut instructions, want a year of beef in one decision, and have the freezer space. Most families start with a Family or Bonus Box and move to a quarter or half beef once they've tasted it.
Is a bigger box actually a better deal?
Yes. Per pound, the Bonus Box is the best value in the box lineup, and our advantage over premium grass-fed brands widens from 14% on the Sampler to 24% on the Bonus. If you have the freezer room, buy up.
How does the share pricing work?
How share pricing actually works
Beef shares are priced on hanging weight, which is the industry standard and the only honest way to price a share of an animal. Here is what that means in plain terms.
Hanging weight is what the carcass weighs after harvest, before it is aged, boned, and trimmed. Packaged weight is what you actually carry to your freezer. Bone, aging shrink, and hand-trim mean packaged weight comes in around 60–65% of hanging weight.
So a half beef at 350 lb hanging, at $9 per pound, is about $3,150 for roughly 210 to 230 pounds of vacuum-sealed beef — around $14 to $15 per finished pound, or about $7 per half-pound serving, ribeyes and filets included.
Every animal is different. That is why your final number is confirmed against real weight rather than guessed at:
1. Reserve your share with a $150 refundable deposit.
2. When you're ready to move forward, we collect an approximately 50% non-refundable payment based on the estimated cost of your share. Your $150 reservation deposit is applied toward your purchase.
3. We select an animal for your order and walk through your custom cutting instructions — steak thickness, grind ratio, roast sizes, what you want and don't want.
4. After processing, we confirm your exact total based on that animal's actual hanging weight.
5. We collect the remaining balance and coordinate delivery.
No surprises, no fine print. You see the weight and the math before you owe anything beyond the deposit.
What a share gives you that a box can't
- Your cut instructions, not ours. Thick-cut steaks, a heavier grind ratio, roasts sized to your family, extra brisket — you decide.
- The whole animal. Soup bones, marrow bones, and the odd cuts that never make it into a curated box come to you.
- One transaction, a year of beef. Price locked, freezer full, done thinking about it.
- The lowest per-pound price we offer, on the full beef.
If you'd rather not make decisions, buy a box. If you want beef the way your grandparents bought it, buy a share.
Do I need a chest freezer?
For the Sampler and Starter, no. They fit in a standard freezer. The Family Box needs real room and the Bonus Box is best with a chest freezer. Every beef share requires a chest freezer. Plan on roughly one cubic foot of freezer space for every 35 to 40 pounds of packaged beef. Vacuum-sealed beef holds quality for many months, so buying big means fewer decisions all year.
What exactly will be in my box?
Every box is built to a set recipe of premium steaks, everyday steaks, roasts, a specialty cut, and ground beef, drawn from what the animal actually yields. We can tell you what's currently in rotation before you order — just ask.
Do you sell individual cuts?
Not right now. We sell curated boxes and beef shares so we can use the whole animal responsibly and pass that value to you instead of pricing a case full of ribeyes to cover the cuts nobody bought.
Do you offer payment plans or subscriptions?
Ask us. For shares and recurring deliveries we have options.
